Lago is a project founded by a group of adventurers, frustrated at the inefficiency of planning a tramp (or a “hike” for some people). If you’ve gone tramping before, you’ve probably experienced the hassle involved, having to go to numerous sources, for example:
- the Department of Conservation’s website- for trail info
- weather forecasts
- accomodation providers- to book a place to stay
- transport arrangements
- equipment rentals, or places that sell outdoor gear
- third party reviews- where your can learn and share your adventures!
Lago aims to simplify this by creating an all-in-one platform where all this can be done easily. As the only technical co-founder I had to build and design our prototype. We won the Startup Weekend competition in Christchurch, having built a functional MVP and getting corporate sponsors to support our project over the weekend.
A video walkthrough is shown below (it’s hosted on a different server so feel free contact me if it gets taken down!). The walkthrough is usually presented with someone explaining the steps but it shows the basic functions of what I made.
Additionally, I have added below some slides from our pitch deck.
